Double Patty Cheeseburger

Double Patty Cheeseburger

4 servings

  • 4 plant-based burger patties (e.g., Impossible Burger)
  • 4 whole-grain burger buns
  • 1 cup pickled cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices Stockeld Melt cheddar cheese
  • 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Vegan mayonnaise (optional)
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Ketchup (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cook the Plant-Based Patties:

Follow the cooking instructions for the plant-based burger patties. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Prepare the Buns:

Toast the whole-grain burger buns lightly. You can do this on the grill or in a toaster.

Melt the Cheddar Cheese:

During the last minute of cooking the patties, place a slice of Stockeld Melt cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover with a lid to allow the cheese to melt.

Assemble the Double Patty Burger:

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place one plant-based patty with melted cheddar, followed by another patty with melted cheddar.

Add Toppings:

Layer the pickled cucumbers on top of the double patty, followed by slices of red onion. If desired, add lettuce leaves and tomato slices.

Optional Sauces:

Spread vegan mayonnaise, mustard, or ketchup on the top half of the bun before placing it on top of the toppings.

Serve and Enjoy:

Close the burger with the top half of the bun and secure it with a toothpick if needed. Serve your double patty plant-based cheeseburgers with your favorite side dishes :)
